Bringing Color and Joy to University of Maryland Children’s Hospital with Sawyer’s Wish
As a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing joy and color to hospitalized children, Sawyer’s Wish recently had the pleasure of meeting with Becky and the Child Life team at the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital. Our team met with Becky outside of the main entrance, where we dropped off fun and colorful sheets for the children at the hospital.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to show Becky some of the sheets we have created for hospitalized children. These sheets are designed to bring a little bit of color and joy to the hospital environment, which can often be a difficult place for children to be in. By providing fun and colorful sheets, we hope to make the hospital experience a little bit brighter and more comfortable for children who are undergoing treatment.
As we spoke with Becky and the Child Life team, we discussed the importance of our mission and how we can create an impact in the lives of the children at the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital. One of the interesting topics we discussed was how the use of fun and colorful bedsheets has been shown to have a positive impact on reducing anxiety in children who are hospitalized. We were thrilled to hear that Becky and her team share our vision of providing comfort and joy to the children at the hospital.
In addition to discussing our mission, we also had the chance to learn about some of the other non-profit organizations that Becky and the Child Life team work with. It was inspiring to hear about the positive impact that these organizations are having in the lives of hospitalized children, and we are excited to be a part of this larger community of non-profits working to make a difference.
One of the important things we emphasized during our meeting was that this is a recurring donation. Our team plans to ship fun and colorful sheets to the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital on a monthly basis, to ensure that the children at the hospital have access to a steady supply of comfortable and colorful bedding. This is just one small way that we hope to make a positive impact in the lives of the children at the hospital.
We were touched by Becky’s enthusiasm and dedication to the children at the hospital, and we look forward to working with her and the Child Life team at the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital to continue providing fun and colorful sheets for their patients. As a non-profit organization, Sawyer’s Wish is committed to making a difference in the lives of hospitalized children, and we are proud to be able to contribute to the well-being of these children in our own unique way.
In conclusion, our visit to the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital was an inspiring and uplifting experience. We were thrilled to meet with Becky and the Child Life team and to learn more about the important work they are doing to support the children at the hospital. By providing fun and colorful sheets, we hope to make a positive impact in the lives of these children and to bring a little bit of joy and comfort to the hospital environment. We are committed to continuing our work with the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital and other non-profit organizations dedicated to supporting hospitalized children, and we look forward to making a difference in the lives of these children in the years to come.
